Bill Reid Canoe in the UBC Museum of Anthropology The picture above is one I took a few months ago, but never posted. At 7.5 metres, this canoe, which was commissioned for Expo 86, is half the length of Reid’s more famous canoe Lootas. Look for more short pictorial updates within the next few days.

The next series of posts will reflect Curator and Collector’s local interests in the Vancouver, BC, Canada area. Further updates beyond those are, as always, planned, but are possible only as time permits.

After a gruelling semester, it seems that I will now have rather too much time on my hands. Look for more updates this week, with continued updates in January.

Actually, it’s the lack of them that’s the subject of this post.  There will likely be none for about two weeks.

We had to email our webhosting company, Hostpapa, after Curator & Collector disappeared last night. They didn’t tell us what caused the problem, but we’re pleased they fixed it. We’ll have more posting today!

After around two months of blogging, Curator & Collector now has had over 1000 unique visitors. While our numbers have been small, they have been from interesting places. Our statcounter informs us we have had visitors from: -various universities in Canada, and America, including the British Museum -various museums, including the Textiles Museum, the Mingei, [...]
